Why We Exist
In January 2022, our beautiful Lake Almanor community faced a harsh reality: cancer doesn't care about zip codes, income levels, or insurance coverage.
We watched neighbors - people we'd known for years - quietly struggle with impossible choices: Pay for treatment or keep the lights on? Drive to Reno for chemo or buy groceries for the kids?
That's when a group of us said "No more." No more watching our neighbors suffer in silence. No more families facing cancer alone. No more choosing between survival and dignity.

How We Help Our Neighbors
Emergency Financial Relief
When cancer strikes, bills don't stop. We help with rent, utilities, groceries, and medical expenses so families can focus on healing, not bankruptcy.
Transportation Support
Treatment centers are hours away. We provide gas cards, arrange carpools, and sometimes even lodging assistance for families making the journey to healing.
Emotional & Practical Support
Cancer is lonely. We connect families with support groups, provide care packages, and ensure no one faces this journey alone in our community.
